Key Principle: Zero Server File Uploads
PDFSaver is built on a private-by-design architecture. Your files (PDFs, images, documents) are processed entirely within your browser utilizing WebAssembly and local JavaScript engines. Documents are never transmitted to, inspected by, or stored on our servers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We believe your personal documents belong solely to you. PDFSaver does not:

Upload, store, or view the contents of any files you open, edit, convert, or export.
Log document filenames, page counts, or file metadata.
Sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

2. Information We Collect and Process

To provide service functionality and enforce download entitlements, we collect minimal technical data:

Anonymous Usage Quota: We assign an ephemeral pseudonymous identifier (e.g., usr-...) stored in your browser's local storage to track your remaining 5 free downloads.
Account Information (Optional): If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials securely via Supabase Auth.
Payment & Entitlement Records: When you purchase Lifetime Access ($2 one-time), we record your User ID and payment reference to unlock unlimited downloads permanently.

3. Local Storage and Cookies

We use standard browser storage technologies solely to maintain your application preferences:

localStorage: Used to remember your light/dark theme preference and cache your quota state.
Cookies: An HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax session cookie is set only when you sign in, enabling your authenticated session to remain active securely.

4. AI & Cloud Processing Notice

For specialized features requiring server-side AI processing (such as Urdu/multilingual translation and Chat with PDF):

Only the text snippet requested for translation is transmitted via HTTPS to the processing function.
No document files are permanently retained on the server after processing completes.

5. Your Rights and Contact
